According to Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari, as part of the new initiative, families that use 100 units per month will receive a 550-watt solar system.
To apply, citizens simply visit the specialized website and enter their electrical bill reference number. Renters will also need to provide a no-objection certificate (NOC) from their property owner, as the solar panels will be registered in the owner's name.
To ensure that the selection process is fair and transparent, a computerized draw will be undertaken.

According to an official press release from CM House, the initiative is intended for power consumers who use up to 200 units per month, allowing them to switch to solar energy without incurring any charges. Applications for the scheme can be submitted online at cmsolarscheme.punjab.gov.pk r via SMS, making the registration procedure simple and convenient.
The government's dedication to allocating public funds for the benefit of the populace is demonstrated by this move, which comes after earlier policies that provided electricity subsidies to millions of Punjab people.

Solar System Distribution Details:
The Chief Minister was briefed on the details of the plan by the Provincial Secretary for Energy:52,019 families that consume up to 100 units per month will receive 550-watt solar systems.
Solar systems with a capacity of 1,100 watts will be distributed to individuals who consume 200 units each month.
The complete strategy will be implemented over a year.

Solar panels and inverters will be linked to the clientele's CNIC to prevent theft. Installing 100,000 solar systems is planned to lower carbon emissions by 57,000 tons and lessen the federal government's reliance on subsidies.
